A beautiful Leasowe Castle Wedding
Caroline and Gaz married at this unique wedding venue located in the Wirral. They chose my to be their wedding photographer for the day, read more and see photos of the day below.
Built in 1593 for Ferdinando Stanley, 5th Earl of Derby, the hotel is now recognized as one of the best wedding venues in the North West. Leasowe Castle is located on the northern coast of the Wirral, just a short 40 minute drive from where I am located near Haydock. The castle provides the perfect setting for your wedding day with its beautiful architecture and amazing gardens, to the stunning interior and light and airy ceremony room.
Meeting the bride and groom to be
Caroline contacted me in January 2018 whilst I was exhibiting at the Liverpool wedding show and arranged a meeting with me for the following evening to discuss their wedding plans. After browsing through my photobooks and falling in love with my wedding photography they decided to choose me to be their Leasowe Castle wedding photographer. I always recommend to any prospective bride and groom to meet with your wedding photographer and make sure they are a good fit for you. You spend alot of time with your wedding photographer on the day so its important that you find one you get along with and not end up with a bossy one who is going to make your day stressful and uncomfortable!
The Wedding Ceremony in The Keep
Having arrived very early in the morning to capture the bridal and groom prep photos, it was time for the wedding ceremony to begin. The guests and groom were ushered into the Keep ceremony room which is full of beautiful natural light which meant no distracting flash was needed. I always try to photograph weddings in natural light where ever possible and really capture the ambience of the room. The bride and bridal party made their way down to the ceremony room, looking absolutely amazing in their dresses. The groom waited anxiously for his bride to arrive who walked down the aisle arm in arm with her father. The wedding ceremony was beautiful and full of laughs smiles and the odd tear. I captured all of the beautiful moments and put together a truly amazing set of photos from this beautiful wirral wedding venue.
The wedding reception and beyond
The wedding breakfast, speeches and evening reception took place in what is probably the biggest room I have ever seen, you really would struggle to fill this room! After the speeches and customary groom destroying speech from the bestman we took a moment to head outside to capture some awesome night time wedding photos. If you are planning a wedding and looking around at places to get married I would definitely recommend you check out this place out, you really can't beat a Leasowe Castle wedding. They also have twilight weddings available. you can read more about them on the offical Leasowe Castle website atCheck my availability
