I met with Sally and Jamie earlier in the year to discuss their plans for their wedding and also to let them have a look at more of my portfolio. They liked my photography style and after seeing the amount of camera gear I use, they decided to book me for their special day. The wedding venue they chose was the Bolton Holiday Inn. This venue is very unique as it is attached to a former Catholic church which was build in the year 1512. It has beautful wooden ceilings and stain glass windows along with stone walls. It really is the perfect setting for anyones special wedding day. Now known as the Cloisters Suite, it is one of the largest venues in Bolton and can seat 240 guests for your wedding breakfast and a maximum 300 guests for your reception.
I arrived early on the day to have a look around and also to photograph the ceremony room and details before guests started arriving. The bride decided to have some prep photos before the day started. This allowed me time to get some hair and make up pictures, aswell as the dress and flowers. Jamie and his bestmen arrived in style, the groom arriving in a Ferrari and his entourage following closely behind in a Range Rover. Needless to say the Ferrari photo was on the top of the list of pictures the couple wanted!
Having spoken with the registrar and taken my usual spot facing the bride we were ready to begin. Sally walked down the aisle looking radiant in her dress, while her tearful groom waited for her arrival. The ceremony was beautiful, there were laughs and tears, a very happy occassion. After the wedding ceremony we had time for a few group photos outside, while the Bolton Holiday Inn staff swapped the room around for the evening. The wedding breakfast was informal consisting of various different pasties followed by buffet in the evening. Well if you have managed to get this far, please have a look through the picures below.
